- Is Lemonade Insure an insurance company?
- No. Lemonade Insure is the brand and the technology. The broker is Westwood Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd, an authorised financial services provider (FSP 16726), and every policy is underwritten by New National Assurance Company Limited (FSP 2603), a licensed non-life insurer.
- What can I insure online?
- Your car, bakkie or motorcycle; the building of your home; your household contents; the things you carry out of the house; and valuables listed by name, such as phones, laptops and jewellery.
- How do I get a quote?
- Online, in a few minutes. Log in with a one-time PIN sent to your email, answer a few clear questions and your price appears as you type, calculated at broker-negotiated rates and subject to underwriting and insurer approval.
- Who handles my claim?
- Westwood’s people. Start the claim in your portal or email claims@lemonadeinsure.co.za; Westwood’s staff handle it and pay claims on behalf of the insurer.
- Do you give advice?
- No. We show you what’s covered and what it costs; you choose. If you need advice on what cover suits your circumstances, speak to a licensed adviser.
- What do I do in an emergency?
- Call Lemonade Assist on 0861 007 945, any hour, for roadside or home assist. Assist is on policies that include roadside or home assist; your schedule says which.
